Lorenna (b. Rio de Janeiro) is a Brazilian artist who has lived and worked in New York City since 2016. Trained at Escola de Música e Belas Artes do Paraná in Curitiba, Brazil, she is currently pursuing further studies at Hunter College in New York. Her work is delineated by trust in the unseen: it emerges through allowing intuition to dictate both planning and its erosion; the artist carefully follows each immediate drive and remains open to abrupt departures the materialized form invites. This process often results in visual syntheses of spiritual and mental breakthroughs, born from philosophical inquiry and methodical self-reflection. Lorenna has exhibited across Brazil, Italy, and the United States, and her work is held in private collections worldwide, including Australia, Greece, Germany, and the United Kingdom.
